Draw faster, ye slug.
I’m trying to sketch out the world a little faster, focusing less on all the little details and perfect perspective and putting my attention on swift, loose and messy documentation. So far, I like what it’s doing, and I hope it can inform my work outside the sketchbook.
Actual whale watching.
This is what the whale watching trip was really like. It was amazing.

My girl, the lovely Fairchild, really likes whales. I’m a pretty big fan myself, so I got us whale watching tickets for our 2 year anniversary, and I made this little comic book for her:
Two views of Fort McClary.
Just some straight up observational sketching, folks. My dad and I went up to Fort McClary State Park in Kittery, Maine to do some lighting tests for a photo-shoot he’s working on. In the meantime I managed to harvest a couple of quick sketches of the old Revolutionary War/Civil War Fort architecture.
